Protective Factors for Strengthening Families
The Strengthening Families model was designed to build family resilience, strengthening parent/caregiving skills, produce optimal child development, and prevent child maltreatment. The model highlights 5 Protective Factors that have been shown to produce these positive outcomes. In the training, participants will receive an overview of the Strengthening Families theory, as well as the 5 Protective Factors and how to support the growth of protective factors in families. This training also includes an overview of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
